He Is or He Is Not: A Study of the Letter to the Colossians
The writer C.S. Lewis once said, “Jesus Christ was either a liar, a lunatic, or he was who he said he was.” Whatever we may or may not believe about him, Jesus of Nazareth continues to be the single most compelling figure in human history. And what we do or do not believe about him has the potential to shape the rest of lives. In this new teaching series, we’ll dive deep into Colossians, a letter written by the Apostle Paul to new Christians in the ancient city of Colossae, a city that, much like modern day Santa Cruz, held a wide variety of beliefs about the divine. We’ll consider exactly what it is we believe about Jesus, why we believe it, and discover its power to transform our lives and our world.
